Adventures in

Musical Freedom

Our newest online course with Eugene Friesen kicks off January 18, 2025

The goal? To rest your mind, achieve greater integration with musical materials, and enhance your creative receptivity.

A mirror lying on green grass reflecting a cloudy sky.
A woman and a young boy sitting on a sofa, each holding a flute. The woman is smiling while looking at the boy, who is looking at her.
Older man with white curly hair and glasses sitting on a dock, playing an acoustic guitar by the water, with trees in the background.

What will I learn?

  • Practical steps and simple practices to explore at home. Practice and play in a state of presence and calmness, undistracted by habitual thoughts and judgment.

  • Strategies to increase your creative confidence using the essential tools of creative musicians: modes, new scales, world rhythms, and songs.

  • Insights into the concept of "the language of the present," being OK with not knowing what to play, being OK not playing, and practicing “high indifference.”

  • Ways to differentiate between practicing and playing, so you can find the essential inner “switch” to engage in performance or in the studio.

Collage of images featuring musical instruments like flute, violin, piano, and guitar; lush outdoor greenery with a chair and cello; a smiling woman playing the cello outdoors; close-up of an open window showing clouds; pink flowers with dewdrops; an elderly man playing guitar by a river; and abstract images of clouds and tall grasses.

Cultivate a deeper sense of musical freedom, where you feel a profound connection to a sense of safety, possibility, and belonging in your music.

“A spa for your musicianship as well as your mind and soul.”
